The Fiorano Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) implements a brokered, peer-to-peer system architecture with the help of Fiorano Enterprise and Peer Servers. It combines the management benefits of centralized hub-and-spoke systems with the performance benefits of fully distributed peer-to-peer systems.
The Enterprise Servers are the repository for flows and act as administrators for the peer servers.
Fiorano Enterprise Server
The Fiorano Enterprise Server provides a repository of security metadata, processes, and components. It acts as the central server to deploy components onto Peer Servers and fetch/display component status from peer servers. This is the entry point for the tools to save applications, register components and deploy/monitor event processes. Once the event process is launched, the entire flow of messages between the components is managed by the peer server(s) and the enterprise server is used only for monitoring and managing these peers. The role of the enterprise server is that of a monitoring and repository server since it does not play a role in the actual process flow.
Fiorano Peer Server
The Fiorano Peer Server is the runtime server in Fiorano Platform. It provides messaging and deployment infrastructure for the event processes. The Peer Server's messaging infrastructure is built on world's most scalable and robust messaging server, FioranoMQ.
