London, October 25, 2022 –Fiorano, the world’s leading cloud native integration and API platform announces that The Nairobi Hospital, a non-profit organization that is leading in medical expertise and service provision, is using Fiorano to enable interoperability between disparate healthcare information systems and eliminating data silos.

At The Nairobi Hospitals (TNH) in Kenya, their Hospital Management System (HMS) needed to be integrated with various other information systems including departments (such as Labware, Radiology, Pharmacy, and others), their ERP system, their Electronic Medical Service (EMS) system, and their payments system.

TNH uses Fiorano’s cloud native Health Data Accelerator to seamlessly integrate these systems together.

Doctors and nurses create orders (such as blood tests, urine tests etc.) in their Hospital Management System, Kranium, which are posted to Labware via the Health Data Accelerator. Fiorano monitors the Labware database for results in real-time which are sent back to the HMS for viewing by relevant hospital staff (doctors or nurses).

Fiorano HDA synchronizes stock information between the HMS and TNH’s ERP solution, Navision. The costs associated with procedures like surgery, bed charges etc. are automatically posted to Navision from the HMS via Fiorano.

Fiorano HDA is also used to integrate with various insurance companies in Kenya for verification of patients and sending claims information to insurance companies.
