Configuring ExclusiveConsumer

In FioranoMQ, ExclusiveConsumer can be enabled or disabled on a JMS Queue via Studio.

To configure the ExclusiveConsumer, perform the following actions:

  1. Launch Fiorano Studio using the executable (bat/sh) present at the location %INSTALLER_HOME%/Studio/bin.

Make sure that the FioranoMQ Server process is running.

  2. Login to the FioranoMQ Server using FMQ-JMX after providing the corresponding Host Address, RMI Port, User Name and Password.
  3. Navigate to JMX Connection > Fiorano > mq > ptp > Queues > Queue<%QUEUE_NAME%> > config.
  4. In the Properties panel on the right side, click the ExclusiveConsumerEnabled drop-down and set the desired value.

  5. Save the configuration and restart FioranoMQ broker.

The same configuration can also be done from the ConfigureQueues tab of the FioranoMQ Web Management Console. Refer to the Web Management Tool section for the same.
