- Usage of third party report generation tool.

Some business managers prefer to use third party report-generation tools rather than SAP reporting functions or ABAP programs. Such third party tools can provide users higher performance in report generation and much easier and stronger capabilities in report format design, compared to the SAP system.

The figure below shows the use-case which is being used at Fiorano customer site. In this case, sales managers of the customer prefer to use the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting tool than SAP tools or ABAP programs. To enable this, the Fiorano SAP Reporting Solution is used to retrieve all relevant sales data and to store it into an SQL Server database. Thereafter, sales managers can generate reports by using their preferred tool (SQL Server Report tools), without accessing the SAP system or using any ABAP programs.
