Fiorano provides a web-based monitoring tool named Fiorano Management Console (commonly called Dashboard) for the Fiorano ESB Community Edition Platform. The Dashboard lets you view, create and modify dashboards of widgets for displaying realtime metrics, diagrams or metrics.

Apart from the monitoring feature, it also provides support for launching, stopping and restarting an application using a web interface. Below section gives a comprehensive insight on how to log on to the Dashboard and about the features available in each section of the Dashboard.

Logging on to the Dashboard

Fiorano Dashboard can be accessed by starting the Server and then opening http://localhost:8181/hawtio/login on a web browser.

Replace 'localhost' with the IP address of the machine where the servers are running in case it is different from the local machine.

Log in by entering the credentials configured for the Server; default credentials are:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: passwd

Fiorano Applications

This section shows the details of the event processes running on the Server. It displays the list of applications saved in the Server. This page also provides capabilities to launch, stop, restart services present in the application or the application as such. The application names are listed on the left side of the Fiorano Applications page while the details of the application are displayed on the right side.

The figure below shows the Applications section with the Sample event processes displayed where a couple of sample applications are running.

  • Click the preferred application name to display the details of the respective application on the right side.
  • The applications that are running will be displayed with a green font, whereas the ones that are not running appears in blue font.
  • Crosscheck the changes reflecting on eStudio depending on the actions made in the Dashboard.

Click the red/green button to stop/start an application or service as described below

Start App

Launches the application by running the involved services present in the application.

Stop AppStops the application thus stopping all the involved services present in the application.
Stop ServiceStops the particular service.
Start ServiceStarts the stopped service.

The respective microservice windows pop-up or close on pressing the above buttons button.

Dashboard

The Dashboard section in the Management Console displays information about the Memory (both Heap and Non Heap), CPU load, Thread details etc., supported by images and graphics.

ActiveMQ

Displays the destinations and related details created by eps that are running. Users can also perform a few operations like testing destinations etc.
